M&S Engineering, LLC is seeking a qualified and innovative Civil Project Engineer (P.E.) at our New Braunfels, Texas location with experience in the design of public works projects (roadway, drainage, water distribution, wastewater collection, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning, design and construction administration of municipal infrastructure facilities/projects
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation, and assessment for utility infrastructure projects
- Prepare reports
- Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Analyze processes based on field investigations, drawings, and specifications, and perform calculations
- Review and prepare federal, state, and local permit applications
- Perform construction observation and field engineering services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
- 3-5 years' experience preferably in a consulting engineering environment in municipal infrastructure facilities/projects.
- P.E. license in the State of Texas is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation
- Experience working with Municipal clients
- Progressive experience in planning, design, permitting and construction administration of infrastructure improvements
- Physically able to perform work in the field
- Construction observation experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and use of standard engineering software
- Experience with WaterCAD, KYPipe, or similar water distribution modeling software is preferred
